SUMMARY:AMLS 4E Provider Course
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) remains the gold standard 
 of education for emergency medical assessment and treatment. Endorsed by th
 e National Association of EMS Physicians\, AMLS emphasizes the use of the A
 MLS Assessment Pathway\, a systematic tool for assessing and managing commo
 n medical conditions with urgent accuracy.\nIn the fourth edition of AMLS\,
  students learn to recognize and manage common medical crises through reali
 stic case-based scenarios that challenge students to apply their knowledge 
 to highly critical patients. The course emphasizes the use of scene size-u
 p\, first impression\, history\, detailed physical assessment\, and interac
 tive group discussion on differential diagnosis and potential treatment str
 ategies to systematically rule out and consider possibilities and probabili
 ties in treating patients’ medical crises. The fourth edition AMLS librar
 y of over 75 patient simulations offers students an opportunity to apply cr
 itical thinking skills to a variety of patient presentations. Additional fe
 atures include patient simulation monitor images and ECGs provided by iSimu
 late\, to enhance students’ experience.\nThe course utilizes the AMLS tex
 tbook and course manual\, and covers the following topics:\n\nPharmacology\
 nRespiratory disorders\nCardiovascular disorders\nShock\nSepsis\nNeurologic
  disorders\nMental health emergencies\nEndocrine/Metabolic disorders\nEnvir
 onmental emergencies\nInfectious disease\nAbdominal disorders\nWomen’s he
 alth emergencies\nToxicologic emergencies\n\nAMLS is appropriate for EMTs\,
  advanced EMTs\, paramedics\, nurses\, nurse practitioners\, physician assi
 stants\, nurse anesthetists\, and physicians. AMLS is accredited by CAPCE a
 nd recognized by NREMT.\n \nThis is a 2 day initial course 10/10/26 - 10/1
 1/26 from 8a – 5p.
