The PALS Update course is designed for experienced providers Healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies and have a current PALS provider card. Course content includes:
- Recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
- The systematic approach to pediatric assessment
- Effective respiratory management
- Validate skills for 1- and 2-person CPR and AED skills for infant and child
- Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion
- Intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration
- Effective resuscitation team dynamics
Course requires one classroom day of approximately 7 hours. Providers who are extremely familiar with the material may be finished sooner. Cost is $150. Book is optional. It is an additional $45 if you’d like to purchase it.
Students are required to bring a current PALS Provider card with them to class.
