Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)-Hybrid

This is a self paced open course that anyone can enroll in during 2026.  The course must be completed within 4 months.  There is a one time extension available for 2 months, but that does come with additional fees.

Our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course combines online, lecture-based instruction with hands-on skills training. Students are required to demonstrate competency in required practical skills and successfully complete written examinations and other assigned coursework.

The EMR course is designed to prepare students to provide immediate, lifesaving care to patients while awaiting the arrival of additional EMS resources and to assist EMTs and paramedics once they arrive.

Students who successfully complete all course requirements will be eligible to take the National Registry Emergency Medical Responder (NREMT) certification examination, provided all applicable National Registry eligibility requirements are met.
